Haven't had anything new to post, too much going on.  In life, in my head.  Just not in the right frame of mind for being creative.  Leaving tomorrow on a work trip to Atlanta.  Hopefully when I return I'll be in a better head space and I can start painting again.  I have some to finish.  As well as #Lifebook2014 to catch up on.

Learned a very valuable lesson while on my trip to AZ.  Went to the Grand Canyon with my new camera.  Took a few pictures.  And then put the lens cap on while I was walking.  And then proceeded to take a sh*t load more pictures.  Because I could see the picture on the screen, I failed to realize that I still had the lens cap on.  

Makes me really sad, I had a bunch of cool shots of the canyon, that never happened.  So I don't have as many pictures as I'd like, to upload after my trip.

Just checking in from the road.  Out here in sunny, HOT Phoenix, AZ.  Wowza.

Went to the WNBA All Star Game today.  Amaze-balls is all I can say.  Even though the West lost, it was an amazing game and great experience.  My seats were awesome too.  

Have done a little painting today.  Nothing big.  Just coloring in my July page for my Draw My Awesome Year book.  Haven't really had a chance to get out with my camera yet.  That's going to change tomorrow though.  I'll be heading out into the desert to go visit that big hole in the ground.  I was there once when I was 8, but I'm sure didn't really appreciate it then.  

So I'm still hopeful to have photos to post when I return.

This girl is!  That's for sure.  

I'm in the #travelspaz aka trip planning phases of my journey.  Heading down to Phoenix, AZ for a few days.  Leaving Thursday morning, coming back the following Monday.  So essentially a long weekend.  Have tickets to the WNBA All Star Game, which is what prompted this trip.  Also planning on doing some site seeing and hanging out with a friend.

So this week probably won't have a lot of new stuff to share.  I'm bringing some art supplies with me so I am planning on working on some stuff while I'm there.  I'm also bringing my camera so I'm hoping to come back with all sorts of yummy photos to share.  Might take me a bit to get the photos up online, but they'll be coming.  

So if you're wondering why you don't see any updates… it's because I'm a lil busy.  But they'll be coming.  Soon.  

A little bit… with eyes that is.  On an artist related website I participate on, I have a category that I favorite just eyes.  It can be paintings, photographs, drawings, etc.  But they're all close ups or the main focus is eyes.

A lot of stuff I'd like to do, but lacking a little in motivation.  Took pictures of some of my mom's paintings yesterday, still have a lot more to go through.  Working on a website for her. 

I think tomorrow, for the most part, I'm going to lock myself in my room and work on catching up on #Lifebook2014 projects.  I've kind of fallen behind and I'm not liking it.

Or catch up, to be more accurate.  Family stuff going on over the weekend made me not get anything much artsy related done over the weekend.  

I've been doing really good at journalling every day in my Draw Your Awesome Year book.  So each of my days are filled in for May and June and I've now sketched out my grid for July.  But I haven't finished coloring in May or June.  Hell, I haven't even started coloring June.  But I guess I don't have any blank days… so I can't really complain.  Not lagging too far behind.  And I haven't missed any days and then had to go back and make something up.  Not that I would do that.  I'd probably just write… I don't remember what happened.  And then when I look back on it years from now I'll wonder… did I drink too much?  Am I just getting old?  O.o  hehe

So I think I might have to take a break from regular painting projects and catch up on coloring in my grids that aren't colored.  And finishing up some of the other practice pages.  And then I can take pictures and get them uploaded.  

I also need to get working on some #Lifebook2014 lessons.  I haven't kept up with those.  I was in the beginning.  Which left me waiting anxiously for the next week.  But lately it's turned into me waiting to see how much further I'll fall behind.  I hate being behind, even if the only person I feel I'm letting down is myself.  I know I'm not the only one.  And I know it doesn't matter.  But it does… to me.  Or at least it's starting to.
