I have always had a love of what you can do with a camera, as far back as I can remember.  Not as long as I have felt driven to paint... but it definitely goes back to my youth.  Things happen in the blink of an eye.  And if you're the only one to see something just think... there are billions of people in the world who have missed out on that experience.  Photography gives you the ability to capture a moment in time, one that many never been repeated again.  You can capture it and share it with the world.  I took a photography class in high school where we actually developed our own film in a dark room.  I always thought that was cool, being able to watch the picture come to life.  It allowed you to be a bigger part of the photographs creation.  The ease of digital definitely has it's benefits.  No dark room needed, no smelly chemicals,, and instant gratification.  Last year I made my first big camera    
                                                                                                                purchase, buying myself a Canon EOS Rebel t3.  Still figuring out how to use                                                                                                                 it... and loving every minute of it.
